Two generations. One goal.
In the summer of 2025, Nicolas and Ludovic met for the first time — two entrepreneurs from different generations, brought together by a shared conviction: that embodied AI could redefine how humans and machines collaborate in the real world.
After more than a decade building companies, Nicolas felt the need to start something with deeper meaning — a project with societal impact, born in Europe, and built on his experience across technology and strategy, from consulting in Frankfurt to Apple in Munich and Cupertino. When he attended the Humanoid Summit in London in May 2025, he saw what was coming:
a revolution at the intersection of AI, robotics, and society.
Ludovic, an engineer and serial founder, had been fascinated by robots since childhood. For him, turning that fascination into purpose was a natural evolution. When YC’s matching platform connected the two, curiosity quickly turned into alignment. They shared the same vision — a belief that robotics should not just push technology forward, but also strengthen society.
From their first conversations emerged Lili-o: an ambitious venture where multi-purpose robots aren’t the end goal, but the means to solve real-world challenges — from easing painful jobs and bridging labor gaps to supporting people in public spaces and homes.
